In order to organise the proposed events, an organising committee has been formed which meets monthly comprising representatives from The Thetford Society, The Thomas Paine Society, Norfolk Museums Service, Thetford Grammar School, Thetford Town Council, Norfolk Library Service, Diss Museum and other local interest groups and individuals. See the links page for more details of the individual organisations. The Thetford Society is taking the lead and a dedicated bank account has been set up in order to apply for grants and funding. Whilst we have a draft programme of events these continue to evolve as ideas surface and funding streams become available. As time progresses we shall seek to publish a list of the events and timings so interested parties can get these marked in their diaries. The organising committee continues to develop contacts with an ever increasing number of groups wishing to participate in some form or another and anybody with ideas or offers of support, whether monetary or in kind, should contact us via the website or by contacting one of the organising committee, shown below:
